Nicola Giocoli

Nicola Giocoli (Ba Florence, MSc Warwick, PhD Florence) is associate professor of economics at the University of Pisa. He has published several papers in international journals and two books, Maffeo Pantaleoni. Il principe degli economisti italiani (with N. Bellanca, Polistampa 1998) and Modeling Rational Agents. From interwar economics to early modern game theory (Elgar 2003). A Marco Fanno scholar, he has been awarded the 2002 Joseph Dorfman Best Dissertation prize of the History of Economics Society and the 2004 Adolph Blanqui Best Book prize of the European Society for the History of Economic Thought. His research interests include the history of game and decision theory and the history of competition economics.
